Eyeliner

Eyeliner Tattooing is the process of tattooing along the eyelid to mimic the look of shaded or classic eyeliner. Whilst black is the most common color, I often incorporate browns to create more dimension and give a softer look, especially in lighter-skinned clients. Eyeliner is fully customizable and can range from being extremely subtle - just tattooing along the lash line, to more dramatic such as a smokey eye with a wing. As with all permanent makeup, your skin plays a large role in how we design your eyeliner, always opting for the best results long-term as we age. There are two distinct services that I offer:

Lash Enhancement Tattoo is a soft and delicate method of enhancing your top lash line -  This technique enhances your lashes and eyes, naturally defining your lashes. Lash enhancement will fade over time, to be softer in color but will not fade to disappear entirely.

Shaded Winged Eyeliner is a more dramatic look that includes a smokey effect on the eyelid and a wing. The shading blends together when healed and the end result looks like a soft eyeshadow which creates depth and dimension. This service can be customized to each individual for their desired result and eye shape.

  • Is it painful?

Pain: While minimal, there can be some discomfort during eyeliner tattoo. While this method is perfectly safe, most of the discomfort comes from having hands around your eyes that are naturally sensitive. To keep you comfortable, I use two numbing agents the entire time to keep you comfortable.

Can you go over my old eyeliner?

Depending on your existing tattoo. Please email me some photos for approval before booking

Why do I need two appointments?

All permanent makeup services are a two-step process, where a second appointment is necessary to visibly assess how your color and shape looks healed and make any changes. This gives us the opportunity to add volume, darken the color or refine the shape, and touch up light areas as needed. Retention can vary from person to person, though most clients only require two appointments, a third appointment is sometimes required to achieve the desired look.

What factors will impact my result?

The use of lash serums thin the eyelid skin and make it more vascular, leading to more sensitivity and bleeding.

Will my eyeliner turn blue/green or migrate?

The pigment that I use is carbon black based so heals to just be a lighter black. I modify all my pigments with orange to ensure the color doesn’t turn too ashy once it fades. While migration is always a risk with eyeliner, this is most often associated with bottom eyeliner (which I do not offer) and tattooing too far into the outer corner of the eye. I take precautions to avoid these high risk areas and have never had a case of pigment migrating.
